When is Eid al-Adha 2020?
This year Eid al-Adha will be on Friday 31st July听and continue for three days until Sunday 2nd听August.
Eid al-Adha will mark the end of Hajj, the holy pilgrimage undertaken in the month of Dhul Hijjah on the 8th, 9th听and 10th听days of the month. Following the Day of Arafah on the 9th听day of Dhul Hijjah, Eid al-Adha will start on the 10thday and end at sunset on the 12th听day, signalling the end of Hajj. As we offer the Qurbani sacrifice during the period of Eid, we remember the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim (as) and his devotion to Allah (swt):听
鈥淎nd when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,听We called to him, 鈥極 Ibrahim, You have fulfilled the vision.鈥 鈥 Indeed, this was the clear trial. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice鈥︹ (Qur鈥檃n, 37: 103-8)
As we therefore pass through听this blessed holy period of the Islamic calendar, the 51品茶 team would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and blessed Hajj and Eid al-Adha. May Allah (swt) accept all of those who undertake the holy pilgrimage and give Qurbani for the sake of Allah (swt).
Theres still for you to automate your giving on these blessed ten days.听
Eid Mubarak!
