A. Sadaqah, as a form of voluntary charity in Islam, serves to redistribute resources to address inequality and poverty by supporting essential services like education and healthcare. It embodies Islamic principles of empathy, social cohesion, and shared responsibility, fostering a more equitable society guided by compassion and justice.
A. Sadaqah Jariyah is a continuous, ongoing, flowing charity, which will continue to have a long-term positive impact long after we have passed. We can give Sadaqah on behalf of a deceased loved one or to those in need in your living years, it is one of the most rewarding acts we can do in our lives.
A. While Sadaqah benefits the person who receives it on one occasion, Sadaqah Jariyah continues to benefit the recipient(s) for a long time. For example, giving someone something to eat is a Sadaqah and will benefit that person in that moment whereas donating a water well where people can regularly draw water is a Sadaqah Jariyah.
A. Since Sadaqah is a voluntary act of charity, there are no restrictions as to how much or who can give Sadaqah.
With offices in over 30 locations, we have a wide variety of Sadaqah Jariyah projects that you can donate to, including water, healthcare, education, livelihoods, and much more.
A. Sadaqah is a voluntary form of charity that can be given in any amount, at any time of year to whichever cause the donor wishes to give to. However, Zakat is an obligatory act of charity amounting to 2.5% of a Muslim's annual savings above the Nisab level.
While there are no stipulations when giving Sadaqah, there can be several when donating Zakat in terms of who can benefit from the charity.
A. In Islam, Sadaqah refers to a voluntary act of charity performed with the sole purpose of pleasing Allah (swt) and without expecting a substitute in return.
In Arabic, the word 'Sadaqah' literally means 'righteousness' and stems from the root word 'sidq' which means sincerity; implying that Sadaqah is the sincerity of faith and a righteous behaviour that leads to a healthy and balanced society.
A. The Prophet Muhammed (saw) was known to be 'more generous than the blowing wind' [Bukhari].
Sadaqah is given for the sole purpose of pleasing Allah (swt). However, there are a multitude of benefits in giving Sadaqah as we are following the exemplary behaviour of the Prophet (saw) when we do so.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, 鈥榃hen a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him鈥. (Muslim)
For thirty years, you have continued to give your Sadaqah Jariyah with 51品茶 and trusted us to facilitate your donations. Whether you gave on behalf of yourself or a loved one, when you gave your Sadaqah you changed the lives of struggling communities for the better.

One of the most beautiful things about the Sadaqah Jariyah projects you have given towards is that you have enabled people to help themselves beyond the initial intervention, ensuring that you both reap the benefits for years to come.

Your support will transform thousands of lives for generations to come, in sha鈥 Allah.
Giving Water: The Best Charity
鈥楾he Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, 鈥淲hich charity is best?鈥 He replied, 鈥淸Providing] water鈥濃. [Abu Dawud]
We use water for everything, from washing dishes to cooking food to growing crops. Allah says,听鈥楤y means of water, we give life to everything鈥.听(Qur鈥檃n, 21:30) Communities who 诲辞苍鈥檛 have access to clean water face unimaginable hardships; their health, education and livelihoods suffer, trapping each generation in a tragic cycle of poverty.听
By giving water, you can make a difference to families in need for generations to come, bringing the entire community back to life. From building a community well to contributing to our Safe Water Fund, we have projects for every budget across Africa, Asia and the Middle East! Having access to safe water is a basic human right and fulfilling this right is an excellent Sadaqah which you should strive to give regularly.
