Light the Lamps of Masjid Al-Aqsa
On 27th Rajab, the Prophet (saw) was miraculously transported to Jerusalem, from where he ascended into the heavens. Masjid Al-Aqsa, which served as the first Qiblah, sits on the site of this miracle, a reminder of the Prophet’s glorious Night Journey and Ascension.Â
We have an incredible opportunity to undertake lighting renovations to illuminate the outside of the Masjid, behind the Dome of The Rock.
Note: The above video is from 2018 - but alhamdulillah, there are still opportunities to illuminate Masjid Al-Aqsa in 2022!
The Prophet (saw) was asked, ‘If one of us cannot visit it [Al-Aqsa], what should we do?’ He (saw) said, ’Then he should make a gift of some oil to be lit therein [in its lamps]. For indeed the one who gifts this to it, will be like the one who has prayed therein'. [Ahmad]
The Prophet (saw) promised that lighting the lamps of Al-Aqsa carried the same reward as praying in this holy place, which is 1,000 times greater than praying elsewhere, after the holy sites of Makkah and Madinah. We cannot miss out on this opportunity for reward!
Give Sadaqah to the Lighting Fund to illuminate the Dome of the Rock Masjid, which sits at the centre of the Blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa complex. This is the site of the Mi'raj and is deeply connected to the Day of Judgement, so it is important to preserve this Islamic landmark. Your donations will help us install a state-of-the-art lighting system to light up all central areas, just as we have done in the Qibali Masjid.

We pray Allah (swt) puts barakah in everything you give to this blessed place, amin!
